RECOVERY OF A MISSING TRUCK IN RECORD TIME |

It was at 10.20am on 12th April 2010 that GPS Tech received a call from our valued Customer Operations Head that one of their truck loaded with goods was missing from its depot in Pasir Gudang, Johor. GPS Tech ESC(Emergency Center Service) staff together GPS Tech technical persons immediately set into motion to assist customer to track and to recover the mentioned truck. The Customer Operations Head also went to make a police report immediately and at the same time sought GPS Tech assistance to perform vehicle recovery job. At 11am, GPS Tech ESC located the truck through our reliable vehicle tracking device,system and licensed Google Earth Map. The location of the missing truck was then confirmed at Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang, Johor. GPS Tech ESC then quickly proceeded to inform the Customer Operations Head, the exact location of the missing truck. STOLEN CAR RECOVERED WITHIN 24 HOURS |

 On 19th March 2010, we received an urgent call from one of GPS Tech ESC (Emergency Service Center) Subscribers; Mr. Lim at 9.15am inform that his ‘Rexton Car’ was stolen. Immediately the call center personnel were mobilized and assigned to handle and monitor the incident closely.
We called and updated customer constantly to give an assurance that GPS Tech ESC is making every effort to assist in the recovery of the mentioned stolen car. At 5.45pm, we detected the stolen car and then immediately activated the immobilization command to the vehicle. The location of the stalled car was confirmed at Taman Kobis, Kulim, Kedah and this useful information, which was obtained from GPS Tech System and Digital Map and it was then channelled to the local police. By 7.30pm, the Police was at the location to secure the stolen car. A police forensic team was later dispatched to the location to carry out further investigation. On completion, the car was returned to the customer within the same day. The owner drove the car home after requesting GPS Tech ESC to de-activate the immobilizer function. On September 5, 2006, V-Guard customer called GPS Tech’s 24-hours Emergency Service Center (ESC) and informed that her vehicle, a Nissan Murano, had been hi-jacked when she arrived at her office at KL. As she got off her car, two men ambushed her with a gun asking her for all her belongings and her car keys. They drove off immediately.  As soon as GPS Tech’s ESC was alerted by V-Guard customer, immediate real-time satellite tracking on customer’s Murano was done. Even though vehicle was moving at a high speed of 110km an hour, ESC manage to immmoblize the vehicle through V-Guard’s Dynamic Immobilization safety feature whereby the vehicle would only stopped when its speed dropped to within a safe speed limit.
ESC immediately sent its own 24-hours nationwide Emergency Recovery Team to the site to recover the vehicle. The Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) was also alerted, and 3 patrol cars rushed to the incident location. Customer’s car was recovered within 30 minutes of reported incident.
